Mavis Adamson Coady, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Delzie Adamson.  She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Suzanne Crowe, Alpharetta, GA and Mavis and Dennis Nowik, Cumming, GA; son, William Harold Crowe, Jr. Sanford, FL; sister, Myrtle Crumbley, McDonough, GA; brother, Buck Adamson, Bowdon, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Coady was born July 5, 1927 in Bowdon, GA and was a graduate of West Georgia College where she received her Master’s Degree in education.  She was a retired schoolteacher and taught school in Clayton County for many years.  She attended Buford Presbyterian Church, and later when her health declined, she was admitted to a nursing home.

Graveside service and interment will be Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with Dr. John Roark officiating.
