Evelyne Lawler, age 92, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away peacefully July 31, 2012, at her daughter’s home.  She was born on October 31, 1919 in Atlanta, GA.  Evelyne retired from the City of Atlanta Traffic Court, was a member of Mountain Park United Methodist Church, SAS, and Evergreen Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James William Rush and Clara Evelyn Rush, sister, Vera Rush Hill, husband, Emmett Hueston Lawler, Jr., and infant daughter, Delores Victoria Lawler.  Mrs. Lawler is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Rush and Dottie Lawler of Jonesboro, GA; son, Roger Lawler of Hiram, GA and Gayle Holcombe; daughter and son-in-law, Rebekah and Steve Parker of Grayson, GA; grandchildren, Tammy and Greg Ivy of Charleston, SC, Andrew and Destiny Lawler of Hapeville, GA, Tracey and Brian Barlett of Smyrna, GA, Melissa and Jeff Chang of Lawrenceville, GA, Chadwick and Alison Couch of Harlem, GA and Tracey, Melissa and Chadwick’s father, Randy Couch; 9 great grandchildren, Caroline, Rush, Thomas, Alexis, Nicholas, Garrison, Samuel, Ryan, Jenna; 3 step granddaughters; 10 step great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

A Funeral Service Celebrating the Life of Evelyne Lawler will be held Friday, August 3 at 12:30PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev.
