Sondra J. “Sonnie” Wright, age 56, of Lula, Georgia, formerly of Baldwin, entered into rest on Friday, August 3, 2012 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  She is survived by her devoted partner of 24 ½ years, Lucy Alexander; four children, Robin Kidd and her husband, Quentin Butts of Hall Co., GA, John Cowart and his wife Kerian of Bartlett, TN, Amanda Alexander and James Alexander both of Lula, GA; five grandchildren, Courtney Kidd, Christian Butts, Jason Cowart, Jillian Cowart and Dani Alexander; sister, Gail Bailey (Jimmy) of Newbern, TN; two brothers, Michael Adcox (Jane) of Minot, ND and Ronald Adcox (Crystal) of Newbern, TN; her devoted aunt, Wilda Mensinger of Auburn, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Sondra Johnson Wright was born on January 10, 1956 in Alamo, TN to Ora Almeda Johnson and Olen Milford Moore.  She was a graduate of Dyer County High School in TN and attended Parkview Hospital Nursing School receiving her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and served people for twenty-nine years.  Sonnie enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, crocheting, reading, watching TV and listening to her MP3.  Some of her greatest laughter in life was when she was watching the Tyler Perry “Madea” movies.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Sonnie J. Wright will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 o’clock until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated.  Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.wagesfuneralhome.com.  Tom M.
