August C. “Gus” Lang, age 97, of Snellville, Georgia, went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.  He is survived by two daughters, Maryann B. Bills and Carol Hanson; two sons, Robert C. Lang and Richard A. Lang; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.

Mr. Lang was born on February 28, 1915 in Bronx, New York to Barbara Singer Lang and Anton Lang.  He was a member of the Snellville United Methodist Church and the Hancock Sunday School Class.  Mr. Lang enjoyed reading, painting and being a member of the Lion’s Club.  He was a kind gentleman who lived a full life and will be greatly missed by his adoring family.

A Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Lang will be held Friday, August 17, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Steve Brotherton officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Embracing Hospice, 2160 Fountain Drive, Snellville, GA 30078 in memory of August C.
