Mrs. Ruth Cortiss, age 84, of Buford, GA and a resident of Brookside Assisted Living passed away Monday, August 20, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Gilbert; and husband of forty years, Warren Cortiss.  She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Watkins, Buford, GA, Donna Royall, Jacksonville, FL, Ruth and Jerry Steering, Lake Forest, CA and Carol Terry, Athens, GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Warren and Debbie Cortiss, Lawrenceville, GA and George Cortiss, Athens, GA; seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
