Mr. Alvin “Shorty” Hesler, age 90 of Snellville, GA passed away of natural causes on October 1, 2012.  Mr. Hesler was born in Rome, GA on November 23, 1921.  He was a WW II Army Veteran, a Mason and was retired from Central Truck Lines of Atlanta after 32 years of service.

Mr. Hesler is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris E. Hesler ; son, Stanley W. Hesler of Atlanta; daughter, Bonnie June Smith of Greensboro, GA; grandchildren, Bonnie Bynum of Smyrna, GA and Alvin Hesler of Savannah, GA.

A Funeral Service Celebrating the Life of Alvin “Shorty” Hesler will be held Thursday, October 4 at 1:00PM, at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Jim Collins officiating.  Interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.  Condolences may be viewed or sent to www.wagesfuneralhome.com.
