Robert L. Stephens, Jr., age 91, of Snellville, GA passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Faye. He is survived by his children: Dr. Robert L. Stephens, III, Jerrie S. Berry, Nancy S. Burgher, Marjorie S. Bowman, and David Stephens, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and other loving family members.

He joined the Marines the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He fought in major islands including Peleliu, Guadalcanal and Cape Glaucester earning many commendations for his service including the Good Conduct Medal.

A visitation with the family will be on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel.
